Description:
In the upcoming year, the Ilan Ramon youth physics center is planning to start a program called "thinking and computing" partly funded by the Rashi Foundation.
The program is going to teach children around the age of 10 programing, as part of the process each participant will receive a netbook. The program this year is planed to include at least 300 participants.
The program is a direct outcome of a pilot done with OLPCs in Israel last year. The connection to OLPC was due to the contribution of 100 laptops in ITU Telecom Asia 2008.
